Ned more info - brand/model motherboard, CPU - type of power supply (AT or ATX) and wattage, brand of hard drive and size.

You might want to make sure the cable for the hard drive, CD, and floppy are installed correctly (red stripe goes to pin 1) - also try replacing the IDE and floppy cables once.

Make sure all the cards and memory chips are seated tight and the motherboard is properly in place and grounded.

: My computer was making a wierd beeping noise before it died.
: I recently got my processor replaced and I bought a new
: motherboard. After installing everything, my computer
: still will not boot. I removed all the cards. Still won't
: boot. I also replaced the power supply. I cleared the
: bios and that didn't help. The thing that puzzles me is
: that I can't turn my computer on or off. I have to use
: the switch that is on my power supply. Also, when i turn
: if on, with power going to the HD and no cables attach to
: the HD, the HD will turn on, but when i attach the cable
: then the HD is dead. I do not get any beeps when the computer
: first boots up. The processor fan just spins and that's all.
: I have even replaced the RAM and video card. All my components
: are good. My computer will not boot at all.
