I currently have AMI BIOS 1996 - A6140MS Ver 1.0 080698 (229-F-83)with AMIBIOS Hiflex Setup Ver 1.20. Thanks : : : : I've personally never tried it, but everything I've ever read states the flashing the BIOS to the 04/10/98 Release does allow larger than 8.4GB drive support. : : : : Just remeber to save a backup of your original BIOS before you flash. : : : : Another way to overcome this limitation is to use something like EZ-Drive to set up the drive. If you have a decent hard drive like a Maxtor or Western Digital and partition the drive using the setup software. This will allow larger support also, but you must partition the drive while it is connected to the M560 so that the software will add the BIOS override to the drive. This always works if you are starting with a fresh drive, but if you use these utilities to mirror and existing drive connected to that board, then you will be limited to 8.4GB. : : : : I added a support section for the M560 tonight which includes all the BIOS files that PC Chips ever released for this board.
