Davicom 9102 LAN -- does it ever work?

I have a M599LMR with built in Davicom 9102 LAN -- could never get it to work, so had it disabled but now I would really like to use it for a cable modem -- I have seen people all over the net asking about how to set it up but have seen no solutions.

The drivers seem to install fine, but it still says Adapter not working properly on boot up, and says the same in the device manager -- has anyone ever got it to work and how did you do it?
