Why doesn't it find your hard drive anymore? What did you change? What is different? Did it just suddenly stop finding the hard drive?

Before you start playing around witht he BIOS, I'd suggest you figure out when and why it stopped and what exactly stopped.

Sounds to me maybe you put in a new hard drive or maybe you didn't have the hard drive set up correctly in the BIOS table int he first place and maybe changed the numbers.

Or maybe the cable is bad, or the drive is dead, or the cable is on wrong, or the power supply is bad, or you got a virus, or, or, or, or......

Too amny possibilities here without more details from you. But leave that BIOS alone for now or else you may end up with a totally dead system altogether.

: My Bios doesnīt find my harddrive anymore. A friend told me, that a BIOS-update might solve this problem. I got no idea what kind of motherboard I have, īcause nothing is written on it and I donīt know how to find it out. I also donīt know where to download which BIOS update. Iīd be happy if anyone could help me. Please answer to inger@scram.de
: Thank you
