This is why its not a good idea to jump right in and upgrade an OS or reload a previous one without ensuring that you have all the drivers that you need beforehand.

As a matter of fact, I myself tend to wait a good 6 months - 1 year before I upgrade to the latest and greatest OS simply becuase support and drivers are not usually available for quite some time - also this give everyone time to work out the bugs.

To make a point, Windows 2000 drivers are just fully becoming available now.

At any rate, the damge is done and the money has been paid - and my two cents have been said.

For the time being, PC-Chips has been working on a driver, but it is not available as of yet.

For the time being, you can try the CMedia web site - they do have a rough WinXP driver available:

This driver hasn't been tested, so good luck with it and if it works, please report back here and let us all know.

Also, I do not know specifically if this will help or not, but I do know that some people have had luck getting Win2000 drivers to work with WinXP. You might want to visit our driver section and try a Win2000 driver as well if the CMedia driver does not work.

As soon as the new WinXP drivers our out, I will put them in the Drivers Section.

Good Luck!!!

: I have just installed the New Windows xp professional and cannot find the right drivers for my PC Chips on board sound card. The motherboard is the M599LMR. Could you tell me where I could download this from!!!

: Thanx
