When you run the AMI Flas Utility, it should give you the option of making a backup - back this up to either your Hard Drive or a floppy and be sure to name it a different name than the BIOS you are updating with (I usually call it old). This way if the new BIOS doesn't work out, and assuming you can re-falsh, you can go back to the old BIOS (I've had to do this in the past on a couple of machines).
