First off does the sound actually work now?

If it does, then double check the BIOS settings to be sure there is not a selection there that controls this port.

Then you need to verify the Device Manager Settings (right click on MY COMPUTER, then click PROPERTIES, then DEVICE MANAGER, the move down to the Sound, Video, and Game COntrollers tab - DO you have a tab there labeld GamePort Joystick?

If so, double click on it and see if it is enabled and if the proper driver is installed.

If you do not see this tab here, then go to Add/Remove Hardware and let Windows search the system.

After Windows places this in the Device Manager, you will need to configure and calibrate your joystick by going to START, CONTROL PANEL, GAME CONTROLLERS.

You can find more help on this within Windows by clicking on START, HELP and typing JOYSTICK.

Hope this helps yo out...

: I have a 571 motherboard. I've downloaded the latest drivers for sound ect. But the joystick is not reconized as conected by the computer. Is there a jumper on the motherboard for the game port?
