This motherboard will support mixed modules up to 384MB. You can leave the two 16MB SIMM in place and simply add the 64MB DIMM to get a total of 96MB RAM or you could remove the two 16MB SIMM and replace with one 64MB DIMM as you ask.

This board was designed for PC-66 DIMM (or SDRAM) but should work with PC-100 since PC-100 is backwards compatible. THis is simply a trial and error method since some chips have been known not to work on the PC CHips Motherboards so just give it a try and see if the board recognizes the DIMM.

Also, be sure that jumper JP4 is set at 3.3volts and not 5.0 volts.

You can verify this in the manual available here:

: I have got PCchips M571 motherboard. I've got report that my motherboard works at 83 MHz. At the moment I have two 16MB SIMM memory modules and I'd like to replace it with one 64MB DIMM memory module. I wonder if I can use module that operates at 100MHz, and if I can't what module could I use. Thanks and sorry for my English.
